The Vietnam Veterans and Veterans MC are having their Anzac Day Dawn Service around their Cenotaph in the grounds of their bunker at 132 Meakin Road, Kingston.
As we've done on Anzac Day for the last couple of years, Steel Horses will be attending as a group and riding to the bunker together as a group. The service starts at 5:15 AM, and they are locking the entry gates at 5.00 AM sharp. So we can’t be late! All Steel Horses members are to meet at McDonalds at Calamvale (678 Compton Road, Calamvale) at 4.15 AM (or earlier if you want coffee and such). We will leave McDonalds at 4.40 AM and ride off to the bunker. The Vietnam Veterans and Veterans MC's Anzac Day Dawn Service is a very moving event, and one that definitely shouldn't be missed. During the service, Steiny will be laying a wreath on their Cenotaph on behalf of our club. After the ceremony, we will be riding back to Hippy and Roach's place for a BBQ breakfast. The club will be providing all the food, etc. See you there! |

Ride Captain: Mac We'll meet at McDonalds Goodna Im taking yawl out into the Lockyer valley....specifically from Goodna Maccas through Waloon, Rosewood, Grandchester, out through some hill country and onto Laidley and then Forrest Hill for morning smoko. From there we follow some roads less travelled and out to Mt Sylvia valley following Mt Sylvia Creek to the end of the road where it turns to dirt. We shall hang a U turn and head back through some magnificent scenery, (Take it from me, its spectacular) and traversing 6 concrete culverts that are all high and dry and in perfect condition. The road out there and back are mostly100klm roads and in pretty good condition. From Mt Sylvia pub we head to The Barn (Scottys Garage) for lunch. We then head back to Laidley where the ride will end. |
