AUSTRALIA DAY BBQ AT HIPPY AND ROACH'S PLACE. Steel Horses club members are invited to an Australia Day BBQ at Hippy & Roach's house invitation! Today is a Public Holiday - you're probably not going to work, so come along and help celebrate Australia Day! Snags, Satay Chicken sticks, Kiwi Fish Pie, Kiwi Fry bread and some snacks provided. It's 'Pot Luck' so please bring along something for the group to share. It’s B.Y.O booze and appetite! The party starts about 2:00 PM and carries on from there! If you’re interested in coming along, can you please email Roach (silverdrg0n@gmail.com), or leave a text message on her mobile (0450 404 960). Let her also know the number in your group. We will be heading out via some of my old favourite roads stopping at a newish cafe for a coffee. Steiny sused this out aways back but we haven't had the chance to try out, till now. Via some roads less travelled we will make our way to a nice fishnchippery on the mooloolaba beach for lunch it has nice views of both the beach and harbour to enjoy. Then we will head back down the Hwy to the twin BP's for our traditional ice creams and chat before our goodbyes to finish. Ride route here! I hope you can all join us. CapnAce

Staged at the Cleveland Showgrounds: Long Street, Cleveland, Brisbane. Club Laverda is once again putting on its Concours show. This is an excellent annual event, Click HERE for the Laverda Concours 2020 poster. Once again, Steel Horses will have a strong presence there, complete with our big marquee (and BBQ), promoting our club to potential new members. As well, it's a great day out for all our existing members! Click HERE to see some photos of the Steel Horses display at the Laverda Concours in 2019. This is a pretty big event, and about 8000 people usually attend. The Laverda Concours attracts large numbers of motorcycle trade stalls, numerous motorcycle enthusiast club displays (including Steel Horses), and motorcycle enthusiasts both local and interstate. There's plenty of free parking for motorcycles. Entertainment includes a wide variety of food vendors, free face painting, kiddie’s rides, and live music provided by the popular local act, The Dave Ritter Band. Admission is free to children under the age of 15 years and $10 for all other patrons. Admission includes on-site motorcycle parking. It should be a great day! |

OUR CHRISTMAS PARTY IS GOING TO BE ON REGARDLESS OF THE WEATHER!! HAIL, RAIN OR SHINE, IT'S ON!! WE'RE GOING TO COMMANDEER A VERY LARGE PERGOLA THAT'S AT THE PARK, SO THE WEATHER WILL NOT WORRY US AT ALL. Mac will be leading a ride from Maccas Goodna through Lake Manchester through to Pine Mountain loop, onto Fernvale then straight out to the White Cedar Park. Approx 1.5hours, leaving Macca's at 9.30am. Arrive early and have a coffee. Alternatively, you can ride/drive direct to the location of our Christmas party. It starts at 11am ... The Steel Horses Christmas Party is being held at White Cedar Park on Northbrook Parkway, on the west side of Mount Glorious, just before the D'aguilar State Forest. It's exactly 15.6 km down the far side of Mount Glorious from Hugh's Mount Glorious Cafe (which most of us know well). White Cedar Park has toilet amenities, big shelters, etc. As well, we'll be erecting our big Steel Horses club marquee, and we'll be using our own club BBQ systems.
