Anzac Day

The Vietnam Veterans and Veterans MC are having an Anzac Day Dawn Service around their Cenotaph in the grounds of their bunker at 132 Meakin Road, Kingston. As we've done on Anzac Day for the last couple of years, Steel Horses will be attending (as a group).
The service starts at 5:00 AM, and they are locking the entry gates at 4.45 AM sharp. So we can’t be late!
Vietnam Vets Anzac Day Flyer
Steel Horses members are to meet at McDonalds at Calamvale (678 Compton Road, Calamvale) at 4.15 AM (or earlier if you want coffee and such). We will leave McDonalds at 4.30 AM SHARP and ride off to the bunker.
The Vietnam Veterans and Veterans MC's Anzac Day Dawn Service is a very moving event, and one that definitely shouldn't be missed.
During the service, Steiny will be laying a wreath on their Cenotaph on behalf of our club.
FOR CLUB MEMBERS ONLY: After the ceremony, we will be riding back to Hippy & Roach's place for a BBQ breakfast. The club will be providing all the food, etc.

We'll meet at McDonalds Goodna
Our first stop will be at the Tenthill pub, Approx. 80km and 64min stop for awhile and then off again.
1st fuel stop at United Cambooya at only 126km from Goodna, then onto Rudd’s Pub for lunch, 64 km from Tenthill and approx. another hour, means we get to Rudd’s around 12.00 Noon or just after.
After lunch we head of to Karara tavern for a drink and bum rest, another 70km and 50mins.
From Karara its about 96km and just over an hour to Texas, total trip 310km and 4 hours on the bike.
I have booked a table at the Stockman hotel for dinner. ( distance is 185km from Cambooya to Texas )
Day 2 25th July
We leave Texas around 9am and head for Stanthorpe and Warwick. Fuel stop at Warwick Shell petrol station (160km).
From there it’s on to Maryvale Pub for lunch.
Afterwards it’s onto Beaudesert (130km) for fuel or Yatala for fuel (165km).
If you would like to join us please let me know and I can allocate a room for you. We will be going one way out and another way back.

• From Maccas we will ride to our 1st stop at the Glamorgan Vale pub. Distance of this first leg is 36km & ride time is 35 minutes.
• From the Glamorgan Vale pub we then ride to our 2nd stop at Esk for a break. Distance of this second leg is 48km & ride time is 40 minutes.
• After leaving Esk we ride to the Harlin Hotel (3rd stop) for LUNCH. Distance of the third leg is 48km & ride time is 42 minutes.
• After lunch it’s only a very short 30km ride over to Kilcoy taking 23 mins, arriving there before 3.30pm.
• Total ride is only 167km, with many breaks along the way!
